Original Post. A fire started in my sims’ house, but no one can extinguish it. When I tell my sims to extinguish it they wave their arm around and say there’s no route. Firefighters came before I unlocked my gate, so they’re just standing around and I can’t ask them to put out the fire.
So, my house caught on fire, but when I’ve clicked on it so my sims can extinguish it, they couldn’t reached it, like there was something on their way, no matter where the fire was, even when it was burning outside, don’t know what to do, they can’t do anything the fire started from the living room, to the porch, now the kitchen.

February 2019 edited February 2019. The easiest way I have found to extinguish a fire, once you get the notification, right click if needed to focus on the sim who "discovered" the fire. Then cancel out Fire! in your queue then click the fire and select extinguish or extinguish self (first priority of course if your sim is on fire).
Sims won’t extinguish fire. So Salim Benali (my sim’s live in baby daddy) electrocutes himself trying to fix their radio in the living room. The radio then sets on fire while I’m trying to get my sim ready for work and Salim’s dumbass steps into the flames. I send the heroic Pepper in to put him out and she does, cool.
