There is a yellow fire hydrant to the left of my home in Altadena, CA. The curb is not red or painted any color for that matter. It’s just a curb. I had a service provider tell me if the curb isn’t red, it’s legal to park in front of it. Since then, I have seen many cars park in front of that hydrant and not get a ticket – even overnight parkers.
